About FAV

The FAV brand was born in 2019 to unify under the same name the cooperatives involved in the rural development projects realized by JPII in Lebanon in order to create and coordinate a commercial strategy at national and international level.
Thanks to the presence at international fairs and at promotional events, FAV Lebanon has been building its commercial network and has already entered important markets such as those of Bahrain in 2019 and Dubai in 2020. It’s now planning to open to new destinations.
On the other hand, FAV is promoting the growth of the cooperatives’ members and is oriented to include new cooperatives to better diversify the offer of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Our Values

Quality Management System

FAV promotes the QMS, a quality control system applied to agricultural production from plant cultivation to post-harvest management aimed at favoring a high quality and efficiency-oriented production to ensure maximum quality standards.
This approach also guarantees to respect the legal thresholds of chemical residues in the products as well as standard morphological and hygienic conditions (sorting and selection, ripening of the fruit and vegetables, proper packaging).

Ecologically sustainable approach

The agro-ecological production approach, based on the QMS, focuses on the balance between cultivations and the surrounding ecosystem as it promotes the use of traditional and local plant varieties, which guarantee ecologically sustainable productions without altering the environment.
The application of production techniques attentive to natural resources preservation and the close collaboration with LARI guarantees disease control and preventive response actions in order to promote a conscious, controlled, and limited use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

Market orientation

The awareness and knowledge of FAV about market trends allow us to orient and guide our production to satisfy the national and international market demand about products and quality, improving, integrating, and expanding the basket of products.|
FAV is also promoting the growth of the cooperatives’ members and is oriented to include new cooperatives to better diversify the offer of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Support to cooperatives’ members

FAV aims to support the cooperatives’ members in having better access to inputs needed for safety and qualitative production as well as providing the members with the needed technical assistance to ensure the quality standards at the minimum cost possible (inputs for agriculture, like chemicals, packaging, technical assistance by agronomists, training and application of a disciplinary of production).
Moreover, FAV allows the farmers involved to access more profitable markets, promoting in this way the local economic and social development.

Why Lebanese products

Lebanon has a Mediterrenean climate and is characterized by a variety of agricultural lands: the interior plateau of the Bekaa Valley, the narrow valleys leading downward to the sea and the mountain chains which cross the country from North to South.
The strategic geographical position of Lebanon and its topography enable not only a higher diversity of the products, but also different maturity periods increasing the availability of the product on the market as well as a special quality in terms of flavor, sugar content, fruit texture, storage capacity and color.

As FaV Lebanon involves agricultural cooperatives across the country, it is able to offer a wide range of fruits and vegetables during more than 9 months a year.
